I like posting content on Threads, but the platform has its issues.

One of those issues is the mass amount of AI content and AI comments...

Probably due to a few key gurus selling a metric frick ton of courses on how to abuse the platform with AI.

This morning was a prime example.

I posted:

"It's hard to make sales when only 17 people see your product

Get more traffic"

And I got a couple responses saying something to the effect of:

"17 interested people are better than 1,700 who aren't"

Yeah, no kidding.

But you don't get 1,700 clicks to your product page by accident.

The odds of anyone making sales from 17 clicks are low.

The odds of anyone making sales from 170 clicks are already close to 1:0.

1,700?

The chat bots don't have enough real-world data and context in these replies.

If you follow basic sales page principles, the likely case is somewhere between 0.5% and 2% as a complete beginner.

I'm not even a good copywriter and I've had pages that convert from 4% to as high as 12.5%.

But to be fair, most of those clicks were from people who have seen my name and face on the internet many, many times from posting on Twitter like a madman and sending daily emails.

My usual response to these AI replies is to restrict and block the accounts...

But this morning I figured I should probably respond so if people see these "smart-sounding" robot replies, they're not given the wrong idea.

The answer is to always get more traffic.

You can always improve your sales process as you go...

But you can't optimize your conversion rate if you have no visitors to convert.
