Yesterday, my credit card balance increased by $20 and here's why:

I've been following this dog trainer online for a while and the interesting thing is he barely gives any advice.

All his content is him out and about with his fully trained service dog just living life, and many videos barely have any dialogue.

Often, the ones he does talk in are where he's training a client's dog.

I don't remember if he made a full post or just an Instagram story, but recently I came across a 7 day video series he gave away for free to join his community.

It was pretty useful, although I was doing most of that with our pups already.

I let it sit for a few days, then a couple days ago I noticed Mable, our Frenchie Pug mix, not really want to do much of anything.

She's always been a somewhat lazy and slightly stubborn dog, but it was more than usual.

I thought it was just the heat, which has been obnoxious lately, but fortunately I was wrong.

Yesterday, I was poking around the membership and saw a video I wanted to watch that might help.

"Locked for paying members."

I paid it, watched that video and a few others, and it made a near-immediate difference despite it being 89 and humid yesterday.

Turns out I needed to work on a better connection with her, because even though she follows basic obedience commands quite well, there have been plenty of times where she wouldn't walk with me or go to her crate at night.

Zero issues with any of that, and there was a whole lot less barking at the back door when someone she didn't recognize walked by.

And even if she did, I could call her name and she'd stop quickly instead of having to get up and redirect her.

Such a massive difference in one day all from something I learned after getting free sample funneled.
